What is the Sell-In Catalogue?

A B2B web platform for the India retail market. Authorised retailers browse the full Adidas seasonal range, review products, and submit bulk orders digitally.

Before this, sell-in was entirely offline — sales reps with physical catalogues, handwritten order sheets, and manual data re-entry into SAP.

🎯

How do we give retailers a self-service buying experience that mirrors the confidence of an in-person showroom — while capturing bulk order data accurately?

How sell-in worked before

01

Human Error in Orders

Handwritten article codes were misread, leading to wrong products — discovered only at delivery.

02

No Self-Service for Buyers

Retailers couldn't browse or plan without a sales rep present.

03

Slow Order Consolidation

Aggregating orders from 200+ retailers across India took weeks.

04

No Product Context

Printed catalogues couldn't show multiple colourways, tech features, or related products.

A digital sell-in platform

Web application accessible on desktop and tablet — secure, brand-consistent interface to browse the SS23 range, build a selection basket, and export to Excel with one click.

Structured around four screens matching how buyers actually think and shop: Login, Landing Page, Product Listing, Product Detail, and Cart/Selection.

The buying journey

Adidas Login Screen

Login — Secure access with brand presence

Full-bleed campaign image and Adidas wordmark. Seasonal branding sets a professional tone immediately.

Product Listing

Product Listing — Full catalogue with filters

Advanced filtering by price, division, gender, age group, and category. Persistent sidebar keeps all filter states visible.

Key choices

01

Black & White Brand System

UI uses Adidas's brand palette — product photography becomes the visual interest, not colourful UI elements.

02

Bulk Quantities as First-Class UX

Preset bulk buttons (100, 500, 1000) instead of single quantity spinners — matching how B2B buyers actually order.

03

Cart as a Working Document

Unlike consumer carts, this is a revisable document buyers return to across days. Edit and comment on every item.

04

Excel Export Over In-App Submission

The export matched Adidas's existing column structures — zero process change for procurement teams.
