A landing page for Fietstest.nl, an independent Dutch e-bike testing and review platform. This light-mode version was designed to establish authority and build rider trust through clear data, verified credentials, and structured social proof — before any product is shown.
The problem it solved: Independent review sites often look indistinguishable from paid affiliate pages. Fietstest needed a design that immediately communicated independence, rigor, and expertise — so riders could trust the scores and recommendations before spending thousands on an e-bike.
A clean, structured light-mode layout leading with credibility markers — 'Independently Tested. Officially Verified.' — followed by stats, a video proof strip, top-rated bike rankings by category, brand logo wall, and testimonials. Every section answers a trust question before the user asks it.
The hero states 'Tested by Fietstest. Trusted by Riders.' — a promise. The 846+ e-bikes tested, 1929+ verified panel riders, and 8+ years stats immediately beneath it are the proof. Promise then evidence, not the other way around.
Riders don't want to see all bikes at once — they want the best cargo bike, or the best school bike. Category tabs (Cargo, Fat Bike, School, Transport) let users self-segment and get to relevance faster.
Displaying Gazelle, Stromer, Cannondale, and other established brands signals that fietstest tests across the full market — not just budget or niche bikes. It also reassures brand-loyal buyers that their preferred brand is covered.
Review quotes are more convincing when the reader can see exactly which bike was reviewed. Pairing each testimonial with a product image connects the opinion to a real purchase — making the social proof tangible.
Credentials and stats appear before any product — establishing authority immediately.
Riders filter to their bike type without scrolling the full catalogue.
Standardised Setup → Real-World Tests → Independent Scoring shown as a visual process.
Testimonials paired with product photos connect opinions to real purchase decisions.
